some help with taffy please!!

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I was just looking for some advice about my 4 month old bull x taffy! I've messed up with his training a bit. I've been trying to train him to come back to recall when told but he just thinks im playing with him, thinks its a game!? I know I should of put a stop to this as soon as it started but this is the first pup I have trained. Anyone got any ideas how I can change this?? I need help quickly lol.

Thanks dannys lad

put some treats in your pocket and play with the dog in your house ( close quarters ! a room with only you and the dog )), i say play as you need to make it as much fun as possible for your dog. every time the dog comes to you reward it with a treat ( dont chase the dog about , wait for the dog to come to you ) do this about 4 or 5 times a day and spend about 10/15 mins a time . the dog should start to pick it up quickly, when it does start doing it do the same again when some else is there (distraction) still giving it treats when it does what your training it to do . in time you can then start taking the training out side . thats what i have done with all my pups, when training . neva failed for me , put the time in and you will be rewarded just be patiencent ;)
