labsnlurchers 39
300 cattle a day slaughtered due to TB! What are these people playing at? Im sure if 300 badgers a day were dying then it would envoke a more rapid response.

labsnlurchers 39
Because of all the public concern about the cull trial of badgers they are going to TRY and develop the vaccine for cattle and jump through a few eu hoops i reckon. Absolute joke, if it where rats spreading TB the public would be standing on them left right and centre! There needs to be some sort of public awareness campaign as to the effects of TB on the cattle, the farmers, and the badgers after all the badgers suffer too when they have TB. The badger being protected needs to be looked at too, it is not and never has been endangered so why is it more important than any other animal including cows?

Graham Nicholson 0
Badgers definately spread TB.. My last job, involved culling them for the Dept of agriculture, over here, using live catch humane snares. The snares had to be inspected every morning before 12 pm and any badger in the snare, had to be shot in the brain with a .22 rifle. 30% of the badgers that were tested that i cullled, were ridled with TB. Frank. Where I live they got rid of the dairy herd because of this, if you light up at night the Brock are like sheep. labsnlurchers 39
They are also on about trials of vaccinating badgers too 'dampen' the effect they have on cattle so at least they admit that the cattle get TB from badgers, a step in the right direction, lets hope they keep walking!
