Rottphoenix 3
Boys Thanks for your usefull replies-its much appriciated. I have never bred a litter of ferrets and have no intention of doing so. I just like the different colours. All mine get out regularly doing what comes naturally to them. If you cant help dont trouble yourselves to reply. Quote Link to post

If you cant help dont trouble yourselves to reply. its an open forum, and although you'vre been a member 11 months, your not that well known, so you'd expect a few jokey replies mate, look at it from our side, your only posts/topics are asking for different colours, or euro polecats or interesting matings not anything on ferreting, although you claim to work them, cant blame us for thinking different Quote Link to post
Rottphoenix 3
Yeah ok-I can see that so fair enough. The situation for me is that Im not a 30 year's in the game ''hunter'' like may of you seem to be but I have two young sons who wanted ferrets after visiting a show from which we got a couple and went out with a gamekeeper friend to get rabbits which wa sfun and everyone enjoyed..... but I have found that from that their interest wained after a brief period when we only had the albino's ( so i couldnt go out a soften)....it may well seem silly to you chaps, but the differences between the ferrets we have means I have a couple of mates to help out and who are still interetsed in our ferrets.....so Im alays looking for something different. Im not breeding ferrets. Quote Link to post

If the kids have lost interest they have lost interest , theres a strong possibility if you get a ferret in a different colour the interest will be lost in double quick time after '' the novelty'' has worn off its what kids do Quote Link to post
Rottphoenix 3
Kay I have read allot of your posts and I have a sense that you have a benovelent nature and are clearly well respected on this forum, but I am clearly not being clear enough in my posting to prompt your reply. My sons play and maintain their interests in 'our' ferrets which means we are sharing time together doing something we both enjoy and they are outside and away from the tv. They have both been caught up in the differences between the ferrets we have and approach or enjoy them on that basis..so the polecats or the black ferret or the ferrets-albino, polecat etc and so on....I just think it adds another dimension to their enjoyment ( with obviouse benifits for us all together). Ive never breed a litter of ferrets nor have any intention of doing so. I think Im ok to ask if anyone on this ferret part of this forum has sandy ferrets availble now or in the future. Our ferrets get allot of attention, have large cages and courts to play in, are fed a great raw diet and get to go out regularly to see if they can find anything down the occasional hole...I really think they are ok and also our motivations are ok as well. Obviously I appriciate your and the forums concern. If anyone can help then just drop me a pm. Cheers Quote Link to post

Cheers You were not clear in your posting i read it as your children had lost interest so was puzzled why ferrets of other colours to the ones you had alredy got would basically make them any more interested, my appologies or not replying accordingly if you want ferrets theres plenty of rescues up & down the counry who do a sterling job & will neuter as well so you dont have to worry about any kits in the future Quote Link to post
