this is my old fella 8 1/2yrs young he's a first cross bedlington greyhound from heartbreak 23inch tts. Over the years i've worked him on everything and yes he's hard as nails and as i've heard alot of people say on here he's a legend to me and everyone that has been lucky enough to see him work......the first pic is of a night out about a month ago, not sure how many rabbits are in the pic i think 24, 1 hare and a fox he retrieved ;) single handed......the second pic is of a 6 month old bitch (3/4 grey 1/4 beddy) i kept back with her first rat she's now almost nine months and will be starting her on the lamp soon she's a rough coat bitch but i've clipped her before the summer ended...f.a.o martin i'll get these pics of my whippets up on the weekend mate

Good to see the auld fella still doing a bit blue-boy,kinda regret not taking a pup from your litter now mate as the bitch you kept looks spot on :victory: If only you had bred them this coming spring/summer :(

Anyway all the best with your young bitch....hope she fills her sire's shoes ok for ye mate ;)

That first pic says it all: :clapper::clapper: For a dog to still be going strong at 8 years old it needs a bit of luck in not getting put out of the game due to injury, but it also needs a damn good owner to keep the dog in good condition and know when to rest it etc. Hats off to both of you. :clapper:

thank you all for the nice comments... can i just say theres good and bad in every breed so just coz you've heard of a bad one doesn't mean anything. He's a one in a life time dog and i am very lucky to own him he's my bestfriend and always gives his all and nothing less like i always say you give them the best they will give you there best. As for training (recall) a dogs only as good as his owner in my eye's i've never had many problems with him nothing i didn't have time to sort out have a bit of patients with them and you want go far wrong

and sad to say i'll never breed him again as i have a pup of him now, but if anyone would like to use him pm me this is a one off and will only put him to proven bitches as i am dead against breeding of two young dogs that have only done a few bunnys to make a profit
