There was a small consession on the rate of road fund license charged for LPG vehicles. It either has, or is about to be abolished.

May I also advise you NOT to purchase a vehicle which has had a FACTORY FITTED SYSTEM.

So an lpg car pays the same car tax as a normal petrol one? yes?

Whats up with factory fitted systems mate, surely they will have been fitted by pro's?

cheers for the reply by the way.

I cant quickly think of any exceptions to this general rule.

The vehicle manufacturers fitted mediocre equipment, made it bespoke, and charged like rhinos for it.

Most main dealers will run a mile from them. Most independant LPG converters are limited in what they can do to repair these systems. Just dont buy it.

Find the vehicle that you want with a decent aftermarket kit fitted, or have one converted with quality kit, and you will be fine.

I've lost count of the number of manufacturer fitted LPG kits that we have removed and replaced with either Tartarini or Lovato sequential kit.

PLAIN FACT. Just get a quote for same vehicle with and without LPG. Just something people selling LPG installations FORGET to tell customers before they buy...

We have converted a few hundred vehicles over many years. In that time only one customer has been quoted a marginally higher premium by his insurer when he advised them that he had converted his vehicle. One further telephone call by the customer changed his insurer, and reduced his premium.
