price of dogs

Recommended Posts

noticed lately that the price of pups and adult dogs has dropped on this site

dont know weather its just because its close to christmas or whatever

but keep it up helping a lot of people on this site and good to see people doing favours for each other

keep this up and make sure you sell to the right people though

just thought i would comment on this

thanks smarty

No theres no chance of that.. its because its during the season fella...

lads ar selling pups that there over stocked with .. others have made the grade they dont need the excess.. also people tend not to want to take on pups during the season as they will be too busy with the older dogs working....

its just that time of the year... mark my words come the summer time they will be back up there as fellas will have time then...

either way them salukis ar not droping a f*****g cent... :D

i'll take your word for it pal

just noticed the lurcher litters dropping to around the £50 mark and such

and noticed a cocker litter at £300

guess i always thing good of people rather than the bad

This game is full of to many fellas waiting to catch you out of a few quid at a dogs expence to think good of them.. you can only think good of somone in the dog game after years of either dealing with them knowing they have good dogs etc.. then again its all about taking chances geting lucky and taking the good with the bad...

but dont let me knock ya bud as if you go around thinking bad of fellas you wont last long at this... ;)

a couple of years ago people were posting dogs wanted and they were getting laughed at...who sells a dog thats doing the bizz in the middle of the season?? i think with the resession looming and lads getting layed off there isnt the money about so the price has dropped...lads that would have a few dogs about just cant afford to keep excess anymore..a good friend is planning to keep two terrier's and one running dog and shed all the rest of his dogs,a real sad state really as what he has, he's bred up over generations and is all really good working stock..i recon there will be some decent dogs for sale at reasonable money in the coming months...........

yes maybe so in some cases but things will never get to such a bad economic state where lads will sell good honest working dogs ... it just doesnt happen ... the one offs is fair like .. dogs that go for huge money where a lad needs it and knows he cant charge his mate full wack for it.. in my eyes there not dog men.. as a good honest working dog will never be sold off here as lads that hunt have mates that hunt and if the dogs that good and honest a working dog then they wont see it bein shifted off to some outsider they will keep it amounst themselfs..

this is just my view on it... it is different for young dogs etc when fellas dont know which way they will go or not.. but its the dogs with 1 or 2 honest seasons under there belt ar the ones that dont get advertised as they simply dont need it...

as for decent dogs at resonable money... thats what dreams ar made of..

dont put high prices on anything ive put on here , usually FREE TO GENUINE homes , but usually get someone to * vouch* - for them , i dont see why people make * X * amount off a dog they dont even need or want , surely a good home is better than a large sum , granted the cash would probs help and in hard times , but if the dogs going to a genuine lad/lass whom is going to use the dog of the best his/her ability , then thats a better cause for me . IMO . ;)

just sold 4 white lakies, 100 pound each, all were wormed, legally docked etc.. were all home reared so very sociable, everyone happy, few men will hopefully take me along with them in future, and covered my own time and expenses...the way it should be...

Spot on mate :clapper: Even I remember when good terrier pups were around the £50 mark. All of a sudden, if it's not selling at £500 to £2,000 it's a "bag of *****"?! Too many rosette hunters and chav-tastic puppy mills spoiling things if you ask me. Then again for those genuine working dog lads it's not hard to know who has a well bred litter on the ground, and a pup for a few pints and a day out etc. Leave the messers to it.
