roybo 2,873
got back from work today, after a phone call from my neighbour, saying 2 of the dogs had been fighting. when i got in the yard all looked well until I saw my little patt cross' chest, the skin of which was all pumped up.when i looked closer the ribs looked broke with air under the skin.but she was ruynning around like her self. what had happen she had been arguing through the mesh with my neoxenglish mastiff ,when the mastiff lost it and ripped f**k out of the mesh and got at her just back from the vets ,the've kept her in to drain her lungs etc. luckily theres no shock rib cage looks well mangled though. Time for the vets to fleece me again, but as long as she's ok thats the main thing Quote Link to post

Guest Keeps
Bad luck, hope shes ok, by the sounds of it shes lucky to be alive. Insurance makes no difference with quarrelsome dogs, as I found out to my cost recently, they arent covered. Quote Link to post
Guest DogFaceKillah
thats horrible to come home 2, bloody big bully mastiff Quote Link to post
roybo 2,873
cheers lads she did actually pull her through the mesh ripped it open at the bottom,it was only the fact that the mastiff has a bench that the little one could get under and the fact that the throwing water over the mastiff that saved her and yes it was the little dog starting it ,its the only dog the mastiff goes for . proper wind up merchant :realmad: thanks for the concern Roy ps vet just phoned back 3 broke ribs not punctured lung, but chest cavity collapsed Quote Link to post

roybo 2,873
just an up date on the bitch "chorus "picked her up from the vets the other day wrapped up like a mummy  vet said first week they did'nt expect her to survive but luckily she's on the mend and seems back to her self, although she has to have total rest, for a month,so i,ve bought her a cage. she's only a bushing &ferreting dog only been to ground once, belongs to my lad,but surprising how you miss them i lined her just before this lot to a bull whippet under these circumstances,i hope she did'nt catch only put her once by suringe, alough she looks a bit thick around the waste, hopefully it's being in acage for a fortnight, but it will be a miricle if she is after what she's been through thanks for the kind words Roybo Quote Link to post
steamingutpiles 117
That's bad luck mate.. ..it's good job it didn't pull her in the pen with it.. .I think i would be getting rid of the shit machine now as it obviously cant be trusted with the little dog's.. Hope she heal's up good.. . Millet The shit machine sounds like it needs a look up the tube A hard mastif would have eaten the terrier. Quote Link to post
