Home needed for Jack Russell Terrier

Hi Guys, Girls,

Right I know that some people will have their views on this type of situation and will tell me what I should do. Please only reply if you have something constructive to say or can help

3 Year old Jack Russel Terrier needs re-homing due to dog biting a young child.

This dog is from good working lines Sire is Dam is Die Jones and the Sire is from Joe Smith Lines ( Tubbs )

This is a very strong Russell dog and is not for the faint hearted and although this dog has never been worked it has caught and killed a couple of foxes in the bush and is shouting out to be worked,

I presonally think this dog will calm down when it sees some proper work. but i must stress that the dog can not be homed with young children as it cant be trusted, not the best with other dogs either so please bear this in mind if you are considering.

Please pm me if you can help as the dog will be PTS on Friday if they cant re-home it

I don't know BB, sometimes things are meant to be, there are plenty of non-people-agressive dogs looking for homes IMO

I know what you mean Wife but I would like to point out the circumstances behind the situation.

Firstly this dog was bought with the intention of being worked, unfortianatly the guy who owned this dog has gone on an unexpected holiday in a 4x6 self contained room with security bars for windows all paid for by the goverment

The dog was showing good promise untill this happend but since the departure of the man in question the dog seems to think that he is the top dog in the house, unfortianatly his wife doesnt know how to handle the dog and having young children doesnt have time to take the dog out much and after the dog caught a fox when she was out with the kids at the local nature reserve now refuses to the let the dog of the lead..

As i said this dog is only suited to a particular lifestyle and would in the right hands be a perfect dog for someone who want a hunting dog...

Seems so wrong to put this dog down,,,

I have got full permission to re-home this dog from the man in question who would rather see this dog re-homed than PTS

that's a shame, hope it works out for all involved, could make someone a nice ready-to-go dog as long as they are willing to take on the risk as well. Maybe he's a "Man's Dog"?
