I have an ex breeding gypsy stallion (now gelded) for my hunting. he only stands at about 14 hh but wouldnt ride it without front shoes on. but i can lay off the hinds when im strapped for cash Link to post Share on other sites
DIGZY 4 Posted December 2, 2008 Report Share Posted December 2, 2008 (edited) all the old school travelling men that you speak to will tell you a true traditional cob shouldnt need shoed they should get really hard feet from the traditional breeding i have drove cobs for years to the horse fairs all over the UK with a bow top waggons and wouldnt fancy taking a horse out on the road without shoes on. that horse will be worth alot more money in the spring of the year so for the comments about the horse not looking its best a load of pish chrissie is that stallion young he dont have a good solid cob stallion build. looks very fine to me must be no older than 2 ?? this is what you call a cob stallion (the lion king) now dead Edited December 2, 2008 by DIGZY Link to post Share on other sites
