cheers wilf , he is shod in the picture and i have many more pics of him , some more recent when he has been clipped out that can be pm'd if you want , anyone who knows their horses will know that with a little work and time this horse will be worth way more than what we are asking for him, once again thanks for all the kind comments :thumbs:

Ha ha i have a Traditional Gypsy Cob Stallion here at home!!! he had shoes to save his feet from all the hard work he does!!! and it gives him good step!!

 

I think Shoes are good ;)

 

P.s Your horse is a stunner hun, I was shocked when i saw him because i have one for sale and she is nearly the same colouring ha ha she is a Fisian x Cob though xx lovely filly xx

i think the stuff about no shoes is bollocks. I have an ex breeding gypsy stallion (now gelded) for my hunting. he only stands at about 14 hh but wouldnt ride it without front shoes on. but i can lay off the hinds when im strapped for cash ;)

all the old school travelling men that you speak to will tell you a true traditional cob shouldnt need shoed they should get really hard feet from the traditional breeding :blink: i have drove cobs for years to the horse fairs all over the UK with a bow top waggons and wouldnt fancy taking a horse out on the road without shoes on.

 

that horse will be worth alot more money in the spring of the year so for the comments about the horse not looking its best a load of pish :(

 

chrissie is that stallion young he dont have a good solid cob stallion build. looks very fine to me must be no older than 2 ??

A friend of mine called John Parkinson bred himhis dad is very well known and i will try and find out his name for you!! very good blood lines!!! Think the dad may have past away but will find out for you!!
