Brimmer 220
After a bad day yesterday, made me more determined to get a few! We didn't do great yesterday, but that was in part, the bunny's were scarce! Got up to our permission around 8.30 am, it was a cold night, and the temp on the truck showed -4 as we got there. Also a little bit of breeze to cool thing down! BRRRR! I'd took all three older hobs today, had enough of the younger one's and the jills. Within a few mins the first mark, and for some crazy reason, netted up! Just looking at this fellow tells you the tale! And such an easy dig! Had a great morning to be honest, the young dogs doing there best, slamming most rabbits, over walls and wire, then retrieving them back. Had a bunny that had recovered from mixi, we get quite a lot during the year, these are always let go if they are ok, to go on and breed the immunity that there bloodline has! See the re-growth around the eye's. By dinner we had just managed 20 rabbits, but had to really work hard to get them. They are struggling this year, poor buggers! A quick bite to eat, and off again, not getting many to be honest, but all animals at the top of there game, ferrets nailing everything, dogs giving 100%, put the total up to a hard earned 30 bunnys at the end. The season may be called short this year, unless we find a bit more ground! Quote Link to post

Brimmer 220
Cheers lads. To be honest it's getter harder and harder every year to get decent bags, maybee it's the mixi? (my old man thinks this) Or maybee it's the year after year working that does it? (i think this). One thing i know for certain it's harder to get the goods. Quote Link to post
ferretville 69
Good day out brimmer some places seem to hold a lot more rabbits than others and i would go with your thinking of yearly bashing will keep the population down as well as the mixy . FV . Quote Link to post

Brimmer 220
Once what's wrong with you man! get the blade going sharpish, you'll be bumping the numbers up quick fashion! I dig on average, 10 -12 times an outing, If it shows under 3 feet i start to laugh and say it a shallow un! (old feller frowns to be honest!) May try to get tuesday off, and try pure terrier marking for the day, Will need the nets then though! Quote Link to post
