Caravan Monster 323
Old lurcher been suffering with constipation for a couple of days. I' m sure someone on here recommended it. One of the veterinary sites I googled recommended mineral oil (paraffin, right?). Bit concerned about giving paraffin in case it is toxic. She' s essentially retired now, but I will go out with the lamp later, to see if the normal reflex to empty before going lamping does the trick. Does a teaspoon of paraffin in food sound correct dose for 20 kg dog?
Pignut 4
Linseed (you can buy it in health food shops or even some supermarkets - Tesco). Add it to the food and it adds masses of fibre to the diet. Almost tasteless and actually very palitable. Keep an eye that your dog isn't just pooing - maybe a visit to the vets. A blockage would worry me and may require surgery.
