isnt bakers that multi coloured stuff? They only put the colourant in for daft pet owners who think their little darlings like the different pretty colours ;) for cheapness but relatively decent is the skinners gundog foods. or even cheaper (and not quite so decent although our little lakelands fare well on it, is supadog working or supadog greyhound.

Have you considered switching to a raw meat diet. Not everyones convinced by it,but i swear by it.Dogs look alot healthier and s**t alot less. Also alot of bloating and allergies in dogs is caused by all the additives that are used in dried food

Meat raw http://www.dogfoodsecrets.com/

I feed raw chicken carcases, most poultry cutting plants, let you have them free as they usually have to pay to get rid of them anyway, then I add raw cabbages and cooked rice.

Hi

Wonder dog at around £9 for 15kgs is excellent food value and protein value .I also get turkey crowns or chicken which are out dated but I boil up and add boiled potatoes mixed together

Will also freeze ok if made a lot then when required will add wonder dog also when I can get will use tripe but for a complete dog food wonder dog I have found keeps the dogs in good nick as wonder dog as cod liver oils ect already in its make up .

I have water in front of dogs all the time but also if just using wonder dog add water and leave just to stand .

good hunting .

Keep your dogs well feed now is the most important time when hard work is required weakness is a killer .

INO the words cheap and good are a contradiction! Cheap equals: bulky fillers like beet pulp, potatoes and soya, very little meat content and the meat that will be in those foods will be chieken and turkey giblets and necks, plus large quantities of wheat etc: and of course a heap of preservative to stop the whole rotten mess going off!

Ever noticed how bad dog sh*t smells when a dog is fed on cheap food? And also just how much cr*p the dog produces? Appears a damn sight more than it ate in the first place!

Feed raw and have a healthier dog, less sh*t with virtually no smell and your pocket will barely notice the difference!

:clapper::clapper::clapper: Well said skycat, why do you want to get cheep horrid full of crap food for your dogs, would you live on junk food alone and expect to preform at your best?.I feed all my dogs on butchers offcuts with rabbits added now and again and it's all free bar a bit of diesel picking it up,less poo to clean up and the poo is allways solid not mushy like procced crap fed dogs.less chance of anal gland trouble as well.It may be easier to feed complete(lol!)dry food but don't be lazy and give your dogs meat, dogs have eaten it for 1000's of years and have a digestive system designed to deal with it not the chemicals and grain based crap that comes in sacks.

Bakers is one of the worst foods to feed, colourants, additives & general garbage they put in it. Loads of people use it but it's been known to cause anything from behaviour problems to skin problems.

Loads of rottie owners feed barf (bones & raw foods) there dogs are in fantastic condition. Personally I feed biscuit & meat, the old labx is on Skinners Adult Light cos she gains weight really quick, The alsation/grey is on Chappie complete cos he gets dodgy stomach & can crap for England if given anything too rich. The saluki cross is on Beta sensitive to give her more quality. They also get meat. They all eat up & in decent condition but each to there own but I'd still get dog off Bakers as soon as you can.

I feed raw & have no problems with health etc & there coats are gleaming. Another thing I've noticed is how good their teeth are, even the 5yr old terrier doesn't have any signs of plaque whatsoever. Costs me nothing to feed my 3 dogs.
