jackard 36
If you buy/breed a pup, bring it up correctly then it can not catch its intended quarry when it becomes an adult not only that it sometimes watches its quarry run away without even trying to catch it Would you keep it? if you bring it on correctly then it would be able to catch its intended quarry , if it couldnt then you cant have taught it correctly. ( then its time to be kept on the lead and watch until the penny drops ) Quote Link to post
Guest anonymous
If a dog has little or no prey drive, refuses to run things(jacks) any amount of time wont make it better! Yes some dogs take longer to enter than others, but if a dog is entered correctly for its breeding and the quarry you choose to run and still is no good, do you be sentimental and keep it? I've never had a dog like this, ever. OK, here is a question for you. If a dog does what you say and is a failure, how much of that failing is down to the trainer/owner? I reckon if you bring a dog in to training slowly and the right way, you shouldn't get the type of dog you describe. What you reckon? Is it the dog that is the failure or the trainer????
