smasher 1,055
][]Out for a dig today with joe cash from here,a big earth covering about 30 yards, let in the old smasher dog and he soon hit game, let him settle for about 20 mins and got a mark of 5 foot in between 3 trees,so plenty of roots, after about an hour of digging and choping we were ,only down about 2 and a half foot, then all went quite, checked the box and the dog was gone, then back again, dug another foot, then gone again, then back, could'nt understand it,i've had the old dog since a pup and had over 100 head off game with him,an has never let me down,we decided to open up to him to see what was going on,there was a rock that had either come loose in the comotion or game had kicked back while trying to dig on blocking his progress,he had been looking for another way up to his quarry,we removed the rock and he pushed on,dug to dog and quarry after 3 hours lifted both and let game off for another day.the old dog wrked well and stuck to the task in hand, the dog worked well and did'nt give up until the job was completed. a[ttachment=59423:foggydig1.jpg] [] achmen[attat=59425:foggydig3.jpg Edited November 30, 2008 by smasher Quote Link to post
