Your first question.The answer is a NO not a PCSO.... When these coppers are in a situation like that thing you call a "soilder", unless they are already aware of him, know him from past experiances, they would not know if he had any warning markers etc......... To do this you would need his name, dob to PNC the chap. If he is known then the information would be disclosed to the officers. However,times like this you dont have the chance to or would chance it, espeacially if he has threatened you in some way etc...... which this chap might of done. If back up was called it would of looked more shocking!!!! I know alot of police officers who do sooo much for our sport, countryside pal. And a good job too...... I respect our police, couldn't do the job mind you, i'll stick to my gas powered truck! artic, if a man had all that preavious for attacking ol bill, ni on every copper in the country would know who he is by the smell of him... let alone what he looks like...not everyone is so gulibal that they are sucked in by the text book talk, ok NTMT, you win.......... thanks artic,i new i would,there was no argueing that,i dont so much have you down as a copper any more as you would have known that but a close friend or relitave that works in the leagle system in some way maybe is where you learnt to talk the talk??ex forces turned lollypop man??hows that for detctive work? Just so you are aware NTMT the idea that "ni on every copper in the country would know who he is by the smell of him" hardly warrants comment but nevertheless here goes you simply have no idea about the subject your commenting on. You'd be lucky if cops outside of his village knew him, there are simply too many gobby, ignorant and wimpish drunks out there looking to take on the world on a Saturday night after a few jars. Only when they come up against those better trained and more capable do they start crying foul as in this case. Luckily the courts and for that matter the complaints dept of the plod knows how many knobs are out there trying to act hard. So lets get real and soldier or not in this instance he went looking for trouble and found it, however only on this occasion it wasn't some defenceless granny. I have never read so much Bol@@ks in my life, lets forget for the moment that this person was a soldier and just class him as a Saturday night drunk in town giving those three "Respectable" policeman loads and loads of verbal abuse??? firstly, none of us know what was being said by either party to each other so that's all speculation,, Those officers would have been in that self same situation week in week out, its there job,, so they without any doubt would have known exactly what measures they were going to take, they decided to apprehend the "drunk", there's no matter about Warning Markers Ect...... or DOB Name PNC,, its there job... and that's what they decided to do,, now the drunk even helped them by falling over on his face,, so by time they jumped on him he was already in a dizzy state, why because he,s"drunk" now you then have about 50 stone in weight holding down this "drunk" who probably weighs no more than 12 stone,, but just to make sure they can cuff him safely for everyone's safety they make a decision to assault him,, with no respect whatsoever to the law of reasonable force, the three of them should now face there day in court and explain firstly why they assaulted him,, and secondly and this worries me more,, is why they concocted a story that he had in fact assaulted two of them,, in my opinion all three are total utter cowards,, there are many honest and respectful police officers out there,, and glad I am that there are,, but what they have done as besmirched the rest of the honest officers who every weekend face gobbie drunks on a Saturday night out,, this is my opinion... And you'd deserve it. I thought the Forces were supposed to instill some sort of self-discipline into their recruits. Failed with this prat didn't they? The idea that he should be given some sort of leniency for drunken thuggishness because he was actually asked to do his job beggars belief. Knowing many cops that I do, some are idiots and others do a sterling job in difficult circumstances, certainly most want to serve the public and see it as a vocation and not just a job. The truth be told when it comes to excitment and being at the sharp end of life there's not much that seems to beat it. Oh and seeing how they live their lives in retirement the money is flippin brilliant and the pension, gold plated, fantastic. I suspect there's a bit on envy emerging here don't you?
