Collars for DEBEN locators

Was asked to make some collars to fit the older type of DEBEN locator transmitter to, seems the original collars don't last as long as the electronic bit, there's a surprise!

Also I have seen them where the plastic lugs break, leaving no way to attach the transmitter to a collar .................... until now!?

 

Same type of collar as the ones I've made for the Ortovox transmitter, but designed to hold the DEBEN very securely, again I'd always suggest you put a cable tie around the pocket once you've switched on, that way nothing can open it until you cut the tie wrap. Better safe than sorry!

 

 

 

 

So dig out those broken DEBENs!

 

Collars can be either 1" wide or 1.5" wide

Have also made some of these for our European friends with pouches for both Ortovox and Deben locator transmitters, am told that the Deben is good for using to pin point the dog in a big earth more accurately?

 

Anyway, here it is.

 

Price for these is £15 with both pouches due to extra work and velcro required, velcro costs £15 for 3 metre roll because I use the super strength industrial stuff.

Yes, in 3/4" black only with brass buckle, but the pouch will still be the same size.

Collars to fit ferrets? Would be smaller than anything I'd make mate, the narrowest I use is 3/4" wide.

i cant work out how to put up a link or find a photo at the mo, i have ordered a new ortivox set from bryan, so when that arrives my deben wont be needed all the time so if you dont mind i could send you the collar and you could have a look to see if you could help me as the collars deben supply are crap

The Deben LRT being approximately the same size as the ORTO should fit in one and the same collar. No extra product needed. You'll be able to verify this when both kits are in your hands.

The Mark I Deben's I've used in the past were not as good at pin pointing the dog as the Ortovox unit I'm using now.
