some whippets ive had have took fox but wouldnt say they were fox dogs

you wouldnt by a whippet if all you wanted it for was foxing would you

this is one mine got but not single handed not a good picture though as it was taken on the phone.

but as people have said these little dogs show alot of grit n determination in the heat of battle

being able to finish the job on his own i dont know ? NEVER TRIED

lad i know has one,big type. he'll be getting a chance at a fox this year. i'd say he'd take one.

its all about the heart in the dog the ones that dout the gameness of these we dogs are the ones that have see there well breed bull cross pull up at a fox not a pritty sight when you think about the weight diffrence of a big lurcher and a whippet but not every whippet will take them but when you think that a whippet is twice the weight of a fox i dont see why people find it hard to belive that they take to odd one

there is a large variation on what is considered to be a whippet. but small pure whippets arnt the dog for fox. would be like shooting them with an air rifle in my opinion . they are under powered

whippets arnt fox dogs but most are game to tackle one

but it realy should be discouraged as its pointless having

a good rabbit dog layed up

iv had pure bred whippets for years and they will pull a fox its madness to let them attempt to kill one

they ha vent the size or strength race type whippets now that's a different thing altogether much stronger

ive seen a fox taken by a whippet back before the ban but it could only hold for a short time, so we ran a terrier with it to hold the fox

That was some bloody catch! Mine used to pile into them but only killed one, a half grown cub.

At the risk of seeming verbose it's funny how the gajo's think you have to train a dog to dislike a Fox, my Glen of Imall x JR just by way of an example played with a fox cub in my mates front room but ten months later he'd rip through concrete to tear the throat out of one!
