Lennard 10
Bolio, I don't want to be sergeant Buzzkill but it is not legal, the whole of Scandinavia is pretty tight with hunting law. It is a shooting country. And it is a pain in the *ss to get dogs into the country. They have scent hound work but a gun should be involved always and the Swedes stick to that. bolio 51
Thanks for that Lennard, all I could find about the subject of hunting involved guns as you say, or scent hounds. Thanks for clearing it up. No Flynn, I could never move so far from you honey. My pal Sean asked me to find out as his lass told him the Swedes had a scheme to help Hungarian doctors settle and learn the language. As Andrea is a Hungarian doctor and speaks Russian and English already (so languages seem to come easy to her) they were toying with the idea of moving there to start a family. Sweden being one of the top rated countries for social cohesion and happiness. However it looks like that plan is out the window now if they can't hunt with the lurchers. I had suggested New Zealand but Sean says it's a bit far from the shops...........!

k9delboy 138
1st of all there are almost no rabbits in swedem. also it is illegal to lamp there, same as norway. you cannot use any dog that is capable of catching its quarry. this is why they hunt roe with dashhounds and one hare with one hamilton stova. i have a russell over there that is trained to track blood on wounded deer only. even hare and deer are few and far between in sweden and norway. DONT GO MATE.
