Ditto T8 is a good bit of kit and similar on the noise reduction side but is not strippable and can rust inside out (not happened to anyone i know mind). I use a P8 on my 6.5 and i'm very happy with it.

i had a t8 when they first came out, a great bit off kit, and i looked after it well, but it died a death from rusting inside out, i'd go with the p8 or the A-tec

Another vote for the predator 8, I have owned both and the p8 wins hands down.

P8....Also consider the Compact Version, I had the Full P8 on my .223 and converted it to the Compact, No discernible difference in sound. I have since bought a Compact P8 for my .243 and very happy....NO price advantage but a noticeable size/weight difference which is a big help on gun balance!!

Just bought a T8 and it seens Ok but not fired too many round through it yet. However it is shorter than my mate's T8, have they altered the spec recently?

I have the T8-AR which is to a T8 what the P8 Compact is to the P8. Works very well, lightweight too. Sure it will rust in the end but it gets a liberal squirt of WD40 when it gets used. Fingers crossed!

Hi all, Iv'e got a predator 8 on my .223 also and love the fact i can strip and clean it every now and then, very well made mod. sorry to hijack thread but how do you go about converting one to a compact version? i may well try that.

New internal tube, new sleeve and new bush, think it was about £70 worth of parts..use all the rest from the existing mod...talk to the RFD you got the mod from and he can order everything from Andrew.

Yep...the T8 was really the benchmark until a year or two back, and there is nothing wrong with it , but the response here for the Predator 8 does seem fairly overwhelming!!!

tried both mods out today and the p8 was much louder than the t8 so it has to be the t8

In that case i'd advise you to go for the a-tec...........the t8 will only last a few years at most......

i coudnt agree more mate i have a p8 on my 25-06. and i hate it it only makes a slight differance on sound. i shot one with a t8on and it was so much bettr.
