D.C. 34
Well, it seems we've been very lucky this year with mixy.............out of all the rabbits we've caught......only come across 3 with mixy, and they were in september, so am well pleased, and even though we've travelled up & down the country ferreting & lamping, can't believe we've not hit the odd patch or come across alot more!!!!.............NOT that i'm complaining.....................No way .........Around rural staffordshire, again we may have been lucky but Not seen a 1..........until the other afternoon I decided to take off for a roam after work, with no agenda except to enjoy a walk out in the sun with my 'best pal'..............sad i know   ..............but i don't give a feck!! any how we'd been watching a load of young rabbits all healthy a full of life..........when i spotted this poor sod........ambling around on the edge of the warren, I zoomed in with the camera, and saw he was pretty far gone, so decided to send the dog to pick him up, After he'd been retrieved...................... we sat down & waited for the 'locals' to come back out & take advantage of the sun, & i counted 23 rabbits at one point outside the warren all healthy & well...........................Been back twice more to the same place & surrounding area, and not seen another deseased rabbit.........so either the rabbits are all in exceptional health at the moment and therefore resiliant or it wasn't a very virile strain..............It amazes me how they can live this close to each other with proberbly the most lethal desease to rabbits......and NONE of the others are affected..........bizarr Quote Link to post
