manipulus 4 Posted November 26, 2008 Author Report Share Posted November 26, 2008 thers two diffrent breeds of them a big and a small is this correct and is ther any good lines in this country as ther a tracking dog i should think they could be trained to a number of sents deer fox rabbit hare ect It is for us here FCI standard. 3 are a different size and 3 different hairs. Standard, miniature and rabbit. Wire, short and long hair. So 9 kinds there is a dachshund. Quote Link to post

john hubery 9 Posted November 26, 2008 Report Share Posted November 26, 2008 My bitch came from Colin Didrikson the aurthor in scotland, him and a couple of mate up there have imported working stock from germany and beligum, one of the guys has the contract to cull deer on MOD land and in the last year him and his co workers have taken over 1000 head of deer using these little hounds, the litter where writen about in Earthdog Running Dog July 2008 issue She as had her nose to the ground from day one We will definetly be getting another of the same breeding in the future Quote Link to post
