Tiff 36
Kye’s colored terrier Agro was run over by a car 3 months ago. The dog was basically unharmed except for a dislocated rear leg. Our vet re-located it (is that a word?) but it popped out again a couple of days later when he was in too-small of a crate, so he re-located it, bandaged it up so the leg was held up against his body, and we completely restricted the dogs movements from crate to short leash for 4 weeks until the week after the bandage wrap came off. Then he was started slow to strengthen and get him back into shape for digging. This past weekend Kye & FR went up to Iowa for some barn hunting and the dog had 9 coon no problem, on the 10th at an odd angle under a floorboard/beam the dog re-dislocated it again. Took him to a vet who popped it back in and suggested something called a “Toggle†surgery … anyone have any experience with that sort of thing? The vet said there is an % likelihood it would happen again without the surgery, and a 30% likelihood it would happen with it. The dog has been a good one for Kye and he'd like to keep the dog AND be able to work him in future, but he's perfectly willing to let the dog sit out the rest of this season to fully recoup. Tiff 36
when you say it slowed her right down, was it SHE that decided she was more limited, or did you have to force her to be limited?
