Was there not a case a while ago where a man was prosecuted for owning a banned breed and he was banned from keeping dogs, the kennels that housed the dogs neglected them and they ended up in a right state yet they didn't receive a ban

Probably something to do with the fact the kennel owner was a brother of one of the police officers/RSPCA officers.

It has been well publicised and condemmed in the "dog press"

The dog press...........i wonder why it wasn't in the Sun like the owner of the dogs was or on Panorama.

But thats a different story.

dont ask me mate...I dont read the sun. I am only making the point that it is in the public domain and has been ever since the case was 1st brought to my notice some weeks ago, although i believe the actual conviction was only this week.

SPECIALIZED DOG PAPERS ARE NOT THE PUBLIC DOMAIN , THE TABLOIDS LIKE THE MIRROR SUN AND STAR HAVE ANTIS, ON THERE STAFF THE RECENT BASC MAG WAS QUICK ENOUGH TO PRINT A PHOTO OF WHAT THEY THOUGHT A DEER POACHER LOOKS LIKE , A MAN WITH A FERRET BOX NETS AND A SMALL LURCHER, MY POINT BEING , CRUELTY TO DOGS CAN BE PERPETRATED BY PEOPLE THAT JOE PUBLIC THINK ARE ABOVE SUCH CRIME AND THE RSPCA AND LACS JUMP ON EVERY CASE AGAINST ARE COMMUNITY IT NOT TIME WE DONE LIKE WISE

Link above to a local paper...probably not national news as there are currently more important news items, Recession, Baby P etc.....

They will now have to face internal discipline, they may well lose their jobs and or be fined lots of money!

Due to sub-judice, people (even police officers) cant be tried twice at the same time, now the criminal matter has finished in the courts the internal discipline will begin and i am sure they will be "done" for bringing the force into dis-repute.....

However them being sacked/required to resign/or fined from their pay packets wont be in the papers.......but i expect it will happen!

It would be interesting to have seen the video evidence to see how cruel they were.....if it is as portrayed then they deserve sacking

They think they are Nico Toscani(above the law)most need stringent psychological and psychometric tests,no one can argue there are some genuine knuckle-draggers in the force, who will guard the guards

just watched the video, i would take great pleasure kickin the pair of them round that yard, if that was joe public they would be jailed and rightly so. Traffic copper over here was caught drink drivin, fined and banned when most are jailed, suspended they had a hearin and he got his job back how do you have confidence in the corrupt feckers, well i dont.

No one is ever banged up for drink driving....the standard punishment for a first offence is a 12month ban and a large fine

Second offence and its 18months and a larger fine

sometimes 2years ban

However driving whilst disqualified is usually prison

Sounds he was lucky to get his job back.....but most people wouldn't lose their job in the first place for being done for drink driving (unless they were employed as a driver!)

The video of the two beating the dogs was obviously toned down for public viewing, as i doubt that the treatment shown alone would have got them convicted!

They will suffer for their actions
