lanesra 3,994
i put a post on here a few months back askin anyone in southern ireland who know this breed and have experience with the breed to look to give this dog a home, had no response. A young lad brought the dog here i seen it grow from a pup, beautiful dog but in the wrong hands through lack of knowledge of the breed, im certain it is APT,there now sayin they havent found it a home so the dog will be put to sleep what a bunch of feckers , there must be someone in southern ireland who can take this dog. diggerman 0
I used to have alot to do with the APBT breed including owning a few upto when the dangerous dogs act was brought out for them, then the lot were passed on. Thing with pits is they come in all shapes and sizes, so how anyone can sit and say its not a pit I just dont know? But that also applies for being able to say it is one! The breed is fantastic and its the stigma that comes with the breed thats the problem (always was) too many people want trophy dogs out there and want to boast about owning "such hard dogs". They are the loyalist of breeds I ever owned, never once did mine attack me or anyone else. Fecking put the retards down that have given the breed the bad name it has not the dogs. chimp 299
you say it is the owners fault for making them 'mean' as you put it but i think you are forgetting what the 'PITbull' was bred for. my little disclaimer: i do not condone dogfighting but disaccosiate (spelling)myself from those that do. but there is no getting away from it if you own a pitbull or want the breeding you are after gameness/ head strong dog with high prey drive . and for the record that dog does not look as tho it has done a days work in it's life question : why do people in the uk have fox dogs still ? hunting fox under the 'this is a preban photo' , at the end of the day it is illegal just like dog fighting but people still do it so i dont think people should be too quick to judge others. not a rant but my own personal opinion Edited November 27, 2008 by chimp

They were banned because of some high profile attacks they carried out on people.

MuttleMcTuttle 21
Give a dog a bad name and you might as well hang it... All dogs have the capability to inflict serious damage to humans, it's not just a pit bull thing. I guess the danger with these type of dogs is the biting power of their jaws, which is probably comparable to me with a five pound note between my teeth. Plus, along with rotties, and other "tough" breeds, they tend to be owned by "tough" people (twats) who think having a slavering brute straining at its collar is some kind of status symbol, and encourage the dog to be a killer. But with these breeds, there is no doubt that the killer instinct is there anyway, same as collies are born with the herding instinct.
