Vixen last nite

We were out again last night in search of foxes. Arrived on the ground at 7.30 and headed for some stubbles that I thought might produce but sadly all we saw was a couple of hares

 

We crossed over to the other side of the ground and headed for another favourite spot where there is a pond and rushy ground. Flicking on the lamp and again nothing to be seen , so I started squeaking for a while and nothing showed in front but as I looked behind me a fox was coming in

 

As the beam hit this fox it stopped in its tracks, David was quickly on the floor on his bipod and that was a vixen accounted for.

 

We did spot another couple of foxes but unfortunately both of them were skylined and unsafe to shoot That 3rd fox David is probably the luckiest fox alive.

Always a few that you can see, but cant quite pull the trigger, happens eh? Always next time

Nice one lads...

Had a look out for a couple of hours myself last night with dixy, half decent dog fox..

Thought we were going to call a sheep dog in with dixys whistle never mind reynard....

tikka 243 mate both mine and ian's both using 58 grains bullets

Those 58gr are superb, remember when I used them in my 243. very destructive!!
