LURCHER 83 7 Posted November 25, 2008 Report Share Posted November 25, 2008 just got a mk3i its not giving me an accurate reading for example its saying 4 foot when its at 2 foot . also should the led lights be red ( for some reason i thought they should be green) thanks to anyone who helps me lurcher Quote Link to post

stubby 175 Posted November 26, 2008 Report Share Posted November 26, 2008 not 100% sure, but its worth a try, dig a hole and bung the collar in, and cover it up, even beter get someone else to do it, so you have to find it, as you dig, keep re checking to see the depth etc Quote Link to post
FlashFerret 1 Posted November 26, 2008 Report Share Posted November 26, 2008 Read the instructions and make sure the collar is orientated at 90 degrees to the finder. ie. put flat down on the floor and measure vertically from directly above it. If you measure it horizontally it will appear further away. Quote Link to post

On the bright side ,once you know that a 4ft reading actually means only a two foot dig there is no problem. The answer ,as has been said is to read the instructions and then have a good play until you are familiar with the tool and it's quirks. good luck Quote Link to post
