stealthy1 3,964
All corvids can be tamed, I had a crow, jackdaw, and magpie when I was a kid, magpie was the best, used to chase cats out of the garden, parents had next door shoot it while I was at school, got a barn owl instead then. sminky 0
The Brandon Lee file 'The Crow' used trained crows to fly to his shoulder and such. Apparently they are the most trainable birds. sminky
SportingShooter 0
Yep, Heard of them all being tamed. Also heard and old "Keepers" tale that if you nipped off the end of a young Magpie's tongue, then you could teach it to speak Some strange things these old Keepers did, but then again, they did set man traps too SS

Cornio 0
Great question, I've always wanted to know this myself. The Crow is definitely one of the most intelligent of all the bird species.
zig zag wanderer 0
I suspect you will need a chick and hand rear it and they will be in short supply this time of year.
kevegg 0
The Crow is definitely one of the most intelligent of all the bird species. A lot more intelligent than some of the birds I've been out with. Kev.
Kay 3,709
Not sure about crows but my dad tamed a magpie as a lad & it sat on his head all the time when he was out & when he rode his bike , but that was 50 odd yrs ago & someone shot it , i will ask him later how he came by it
