could someone tell me are the ferret finders on the market good and what one would do me for just starting up and what price would i be looking at and would i need one for the frist time i go out.

dont no about mk1 or mk2 but i have a mk3 and it is good for me

Just bought a MK3 and two collars, once you get used to it, they are good, had a MK2 before and think the MK3 shades it, shop about, prices varey a lot, get them from here, two collars and MK3 £175.

A Deben Mk3 is the most common. approx £145 including 1 collar. Gives you 100% peace of mind, if you value your ferret.

 

You can manage without one, if you can see all the holes and have a helper. Pack up at lunchtime if you have no locator. A lost ferret in failing light is a recipe for disaster. Don't do hedgerows without one, they can slip out of one hole and into another set in the blink of an eye. good luck.
