Its a once in a lifetime,I would have kept it,imagine finding a hoxne :blink: How did old Eric Lawes feel as he took that first spadefull of soil out :blink:

yer every detectorist dreams of somthink like that maybe one day one of us would be that lucky :thumbs:

see, its posts like these, that makes me want to dust mine off, bought one quite a few years back at around £500, which Ive since seen in cash convertors at £200 so a bit of depreciation there, but the first time I went, I found a silver penny, that worked out around 850yrs old, never went again, and the detector is sat in its case in a cupboard, for the life of me, I cant find the penny anywhere, but I remember putting it somewhere safe :doh:

the first time you went out you found a silver penny about 850 years old thats well good it took me well ages to find my first silver coin .. all i got was bronze milled coins for about my fisrt 7 outings and stubby that could be a rare coin worth loads of money have another look for it :thumbs:

i say it was more then likely a c.scope because there was one of them down grays in thats cash convertors
