I've used Kawasaki KLFs in the past, I think the were 350cc. They got some serious stick but never really failed me, they are only 2wd (with difflock) but I've never struggled to get anywhere with them and if you get stuck they are light enough just to lift them free. They are also much more manoverable than the 4X4 types with a much better turning circle. All the shepherds on the estate also used them.

No Idea how much you can get them from secondhand though.

I had a Kawasaki 360, 2 / 4 wheel drive automatic. Great bike for running around and working with sheep or cattle as teh speed was great. Absolutely hopeless for towing, would tow teh empty trailer but could not pull a full trailer or pull anything up hill. When I get my new bike it will probably be a 400 Honda

Wev got a honda forman 5 450cc and a honda forman 7 500cc on the farm and there the most reliable bikes we have had getting used everyday

There great at towing full trailerloads easily. the forman 7 has power steering so you can drive one handed if you like the forman 5 is a little stiff but not to hard both with a 4/2 wheel drive switch so you can nock it into 2wheel drive when your on the road .

Dont bother with a kawasaki unless ur going for a high powered modle 500+cc

Hope this helps

Just noticed you price You need to spend at least 2k on a quad if you want a half arsed one

If you want a cheap quad go for a Quadzilla (Ram) 170 or a 250

I owned a ram 170 road legal many years ago and found it really go on and off the road. Cheap to run, cheap to insure and the second hand market of these quads have dropped a hell of alot.

Parts are Very available for the make of quad and cheap. £600 would get you a fair Road legal Quadzilla (ram) 170. Take alook on ebay!
