TOM TERRIER 173 Posted November 24, 2008 Report Share Posted November 24, 2008 Took my 7 month old Lurcher for a bit of excersise yesterday and she knocked her toe nail across on the outside of her front foot, Her toe is fine, its just the nail thats moved. It was bleeding a bit, but didnt seam to bother her and she kept walking/running. This morning she is limping on it, what shall i do? Take her to vets or will it heal natural? sandymere 8,263 Posted November 25, 2008 Report Share Posted November 25, 2008 Cut the nail back to as near the quick as poss, double check the toe itself for injuries and monitor if further concerns get some expert advice. Usualy dammaged, broken nails regrow ok but with such a young animal be extra careful them feet have got a long way to go. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
