do you use them with a few people ?? where they surround

the wood with the lurchers? or by ya self and just let your

lurchers hunt up with them?

jay

theres usually 3 or 4 of us lurchers, terriers and walkie talkies ;)

Lucky have them beagles ever caught up

with a fox mate? if they have what was the

outcome? if they did would they kill 1?

jay

there not as game as foxhounds, but ten times better in thick cover they have'nt caught one yet though(thats the lurchers job). the lad i got them off as small pack and all he hunts with them is foxes for private gun cyndicates he's cornered a few foxes with them and he told me that they are'nt really efficient fox killers (in and out all the time) but they do kill em.

this mating was'nt planned because my 2 bitches are only young (coming up 2 yo) but there flying, to say i only work 2 they dont miss a thing (if theres foxes there they will find them) and i've had some exellent hunts with em.

If they're hunted as pack beagles will kill foxes Jay,ive hunted a pack of beagles a good few times out twice a week in the season for six years, they registered packs and the quarry was hares but it wasn't a normal season if you didn't catch at least one charlie
