Guest Rod&dog
Had a short walk out for an hour or so this afternoon,,Concentrated on this large warren,, we bolted and missed and caught a few ,, we got a dig,, 3 foot roughly,,Got ferret and rabbit out,,Dispatched rabbit,, And looked for my other ferret using the MK3,, It was still moving around but slowly and not showing,, But as my mate went to some food from the bag it had shown from a mouth of a burry,,But it did not look very healthy,,Both its eyes had came out and its jaw was broken and its face not very nice,,So i did the correct thing and dispatched it thier and then,,Which is a shame beacuse it was one of my best workers and now im down to one ferret for the rest of the season. I left the jill to rest in a whole i dug in the warren its bolted many rabbits from in the three years of its life, RIP enda. Edited November 23, 2008 by Rod&dog Quote Link to post

Fat-Ferret 857
Thats bad...what happened it? Quote Link to post
Brimmer 220
Shame for the critter, seen the eye's popped out before on the jills. Must have taken a huge uppercut from the legs of the bunny. A bunny can smack a ferret very hard with the hind legs, people think i'm daft when I only use hobs for work, seeing me digging all the time. It's for a reason, most jills are not up to shifting everything, only the best can stand up to a beating off something 4 times it's own weight. Seen jills on fire for a while untill they get this, then switch off in an instant. You can feel the slams from underground sometimes. Poor little bugger. Quote Link to post

Guest Rod&dog
Bad when you lose a member of your team. Yep now im going to have to work a single ferret,, Unless i can get hold of a few more,, But i bred the one i lost from a good jill and a good hob,, from someone on here. Sadly i sold the jills mother last summer or i would get a another out of her. Quote Link to post
