ianrob 2
Every year, the mixy seems to come through all my area, first from the railway embankments, then gradually through the rest. Do all areas get it still? Edited November 24, 2008 by ianrob Quote Link to post

Tiercel 6,986
Every year, the mixy seems to come through all my area, first from the railway embankments, then gradually through the rest. Do all areas get it still? Every year without fail. Altough this year it has only shown up about 3 weeks ago. It looks like this is a new strain because it has wiped out almost all the rabbits. Very little left now. Quote Link to post

Do all areas get it still? Every year without fail. Altough this year it has only shown up about 3 weeks ago. It looks like this is a new strain because it has wiped out almost all the rabbits. Very little left now. It's bloody annoying, though probably more so from the rabbits point of view. All summer, the farmers twine on at me, and I do my best to keep them down, then when the time comes to do a bit of ferreting and snaring proper, the mixy shows face. There are very few left round here this time. Then there's the drop boxes, and talk of new snaring regulations. I'm sure I have the Samaritin's number somewhere  Quote Link to post
moxy 617
Rarely get it in the same area every year, More like every other. Some spots we go can be even longer. Dont get me wrong, you will stumble upon the odd mixy rabbit, but it takes a while for it to fully take hold and make some kind of an impact. Im very fortunate to have plenty of land in different areas to go at, so if one place goes tits up, there is always somewhere else to go, we leave that spot alone for a while and allow the numbers to recover, but still making a presence occasionaly for the land owner There is one farm we go and you can guarante if it hasnt got it this year it will have it next. Without fail. I have been shooting at this spot for over 12 yrs and it has always been the same. Quote Link to post
