WHAT YOUR BIGGEST CATCH FROM ONE DROP OF A LONG NET (HOW MANY RABBITS)? PICS WOULD BE GOOD ASWELL. CHEERS :D
I once had three badgers in a net at the same time , not for long though.

why what happened ?

It was on a huge rabbit /badger set at Quenby Hall,my granpa was behind the net ,me and a mate were lining the field ,two had gone straight through ,the third was tangled up next to the end pin ,it was away after a minutes struggle, there was a few rabbits in the net but that was the last time we used it [got me thinking now ]The net was hand knitted out of some pink, cotton like material, grandpa got it one night in the early 5os when he caught some lads pegging a wood at east Leake , Spoils of war.

micky

good show- cheers

No pics but I had a bit of ground with 3/4 mile of railway cut going through it. It was silloutted against the nearest town, and it was opposite to prevailing wind. It had one saving grace though, there was a 75 yard bit at one end that was blind as long as you stayed bent over. I regularly got between half a dozen and a dozen and a half off it. The best was I think 19 that we kept as the mixie was starting. For big bags, you need the rabbits and the ground, and unless you're working similar areas with similar amounts of rabbits, you can't really compare much.

A good example of this was a close neighbour, a bit of a tit, and not the sharpest knife in the drawer. He had a 200 yard nylon net whos' running line was chewed through in a few bits, and had remained so for as long as I knew him. At any opportunity he would tell the tale of him and three mates with god knows how many nets, "doing an estate wood near where he worked. I never did get the tally, but the night before they did it, he counted over 200 rabbits in the field. A couple of nights later half a dozen. He used to stare into space as he told the tale. Whatever happened, they obviously had a good bag.
