Joonsy 38
56 rabbits in 200yds (4 x 50 yarders) in one set, 60 rabbits in 250 yds (5 x 50 yarders) in one set but by beating up twice (got an extra 8 on second beat up), all in my own hand-made irish linen nets, early part of the season when rabbits most abundant. micky 3,325
WHAT YOUR BIGGEST CATCH FROM ONE DROP OF A LONG NET (HOW MANY RABBITS)? PICS WOULD BE GOOD ASWELL. CHEERS I once had three badgers in a net at the same time , not for long though. why what happened ? It was on a huge rabbit /badger set at Quenby Hall,my granpa was behind the net ,me and a mate were lining the field ,two had gone straight through ,the third was tangled up next to the end pin ,it was away after a minutes struggle, there was a few rabbits in the net but that was the last time we used it [got me thinking now ]The net was hand knitted out of some pink, cotton like material, grandpa got it one night in the early 5os when he caught some lads pegging a wood at east Leake , Spoils of war.micky Quote Link to post
