federal 223 ammo

rang 4 local gun shops (north/east) for some fed power shok 223 55 grn not only none in stock but 3 had no 223 ammo at all is there a shortage of 223 ammo or is it just the noth east area.So first does anyone now of a supplier who stocks what i want and secound is there a general shortage of rifle ammo in any caliber.

Did you try Weldon Gun Room? If they havn't got it they will get it for you and at the right price!

if you ask your local dealer to get you some and to keep a stock in you will buy them.....i know this doesn't solve the problem for now but it should be considered, and you could make an agreement that when he reaches a certain low point that he should order more, hopefully then the supply will never run out for you........ ;)

thought about reloading?

Riohog. i don't use that many but its a thought . thinks if anyone is reloading in my area i would be willing to supply spent ammo cases and to pay for reloads if theres no law against it.

I'm not specifically aware of any "shortage" of any calibre at the moment..proably just the usual slack attitude of many RFD, ...........forgot!!

yep your right about attitude . got none .don't know when we will get them .useualy stock them . ring you when in stock and then don't.

Yep that sounds like all but one of my local gunshops... I'll not name the bad ones. but if your in my area shop at Dick Hardies in Forfar. A nicer man and lady you will not meet..

three weeks now still no fed 223 ammo gun shop says there on order but his supplyer mus'nt have any looks like i will have to use the 223 as a club to control vermin without ammo as mutch use as a chocolate fire gaurd or tits on a bull.
