hello stephen 08,black terriers seem to have become more popular over the last few years but you get good working terriers in all colours shapes and sizes.i have two russells i currently work and a black and tan all work well in different ways.just because a dog may be hard doesnt always mean that its good, there is a time and place for a hard dog.

each to their own mate every body has there own opinion of working terriers, thats just how it is!some people prefer fells others russells or lakelands etc.it personally doesnt bother what breed it is if it does the job for you and you like the dog thats good enough.

Well for me I've always hated jack russels no real reason, just hate them, dont know why. Always had patterdales or red lakelands just love there stance and work ethic.

used to keep them didn't have much luck with them, black dogs have got a different style and a style like,

but its down to the individual at the end of the day different dogs for different jobs

dont get me wrong all dogs work diffrent but is it not good for a terrier to be a little bit wary of is quarry not afrad of it but know of [bANNED TEXT] damage [bANNED TEXT] it can do & if need be at the right time do some itself?

I've had baying Russells. I've had hard as nails Russells. I prefer one that bays and mixes a little, rather than one that is constantly having to heal up.

JMHO.

I've also seen patts that bay.

If we all liked the same thing, it would be rather boring, wouldn't it?

there are more shit balcks and fells being past about as workers these days, atleast most lines of white dogs that are shite are pretty much called pets or bushing types.

there are good lines of whites and good lines of others, its just many dont have them or wouldnt know a good dog.
