I have a Striker but I would like a variable beam. The Clulight has a very good hinged filter so I may try making one for the Striker the Clulights utility light is very usefull but the beam is too wide for me, I have also seen problems in the past with the wireing on the Striker but I sorted mine when I got it and have never had a problem. All in all the Clulight is a well made and usefull light but the Lightforces have the beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeam ;)

Clulite for reliability, liteforce for beam,I,ve rewired my striker recently, going well so far, also got a "flip" filter, works a treat!!

thats a clever set up mate.... i'll have to get that sorted out for myself

i think the reason that the laser/blaserlites have such a wide beam is because the glass lense is in an oval shape that spreads the light... maybe if someone could get a lense that was flat the beam would have less of a spread to it???? even the extension rims that come with the hinged filters dont seem to narrow it down any.. but even still, if i was planning a long walk with the lamp i'd definately take the blaserlite... but i use the lightforce if i'm using the motor...

to add, if i could find away of tightening the beam on the blaser the lightforce would be made totally redundant

got the clulite.

and got nightstalker 180.

me and my mate been using these for a while and never had a problem with the wiring on the NS as you do on the lightforce,

i think the blitz are just way to big.

NIGHTSTALKER 180 WITH 12V 20AH BATTERY ALL THE WAY.

You can do it all night long :D

The lightforce striker for lamping foxes and I have one for on top of the rifle.

The clulite for bunny bashing.

Love the size of the Clulite for wandering about but the beam lets it down because you cant tighten it.

Lightforce 170 has the best beam fitted a dimmer switch to both my lamps makes a hell of a difference.

Regards highlander.

I like it, I will use that with a little added strength by fitting a large jubilee clip around th dia of lamp before bolting/pop riviting together :good:

just bought one of those cheap "every ready" lamps from the garage in town today for about £6... i was lyin about pickin my bum so i thought i'd try and do somethin useful and fix the beam on this blaser of mine... the light bulb came on in my head when i saw it and i noticed the lense is about the same size as my blaserlite only its totally flat ... so i've swapped the lenses over and figers crosses, the beam should be bit tighter... i'll let you's know :)

:) just to let you clulite fans know, the flat lense made a bit of a difference but it is plastic instead of glass and although the laserlite shouldnt have a problem with it the blaserlite with its 100watt bulb heats the plastic up a bit if its left on for a while... the spread is slightly less but the beam i'm getting now has a brighter spot in the middle and the dog seems to follow it better than before.. if anyone is interested i'll see if i can get a pic up of the beam i'm getting now and they can decide if its worth the hassle...
