jackard 36
so after all that bickering , hows evey 1s day been ? Mines been OK, I bet this is not what you wanted the thread to be like though is it? not realy but its a forum and 1 thing always leads to another , buts lets get it back on track ! anyway what i wanted was to get a point across about how people that hunt with dogs should think when breeding or buying a pup. i know you cant covert every 1 but if 10 people where to read what ive typed and how i think if only 1 in evert 10 thinks about it and changes the way they think then ive done my job , right people with right intelligence will see through the bickering and know what im on about and them that dont have the chance to read it as many times as they want until it sinks in then they might be more than 1 in every 10 that convert many thank for your coments and the coments that havnt arrived yet Quote Link to post
Guest MY LAW
I already did...ok i will try to make it simple for you i wrote TAKE IT OUT AND GIVE IT ALL THE WORK IT CAN HANDLE ,you wrote WORK THEM HARD UNTILL THEY CANT WORK ANY MORE .the two are two completly different .so did you make it up or did i write it ,? For the very last time ML, you wrote... keep taking it out and give all the work it can handle ,other wise you will not be that happy with it in a year or 2 ,and you will be looking for a better dog ,take it from some one that has seen this happen a lot of times ,[just remember fed it well and work it hard ,the only tried and tested method .]a dog is only as good as the work it is given [PROVEN FACT] I gave a condensed version of that post...did'nt quote it...that is how it reads, sorry if you dont like it, but you wrote it NOT THE WAY YOU PUT IT I DIDNT.you would make a good politician,[you wont admit when your wrong] Edited November 22, 2008 by MY LAW Quote Link to post

richard25 0
You all make excellent points here & i truly believe its moe about the bond you make in working together than in the end will shine through & to many people try to use the "bad breeding" when really it just needed some effort. Good example here is a old friend had a dog he thought could not catch a thing, he did have him for some time but you could tell that they were not a team so he gave the lovely mutt away to a relative of mine & i got a call a couple of weeks later saying that the dog kept coming in from the field with rabbits lol Funny world ay We are a nation of dog owners not dog lovers ( i heard this on the tv with a rspca fella talking & that really hit a cord for me ... sad ) Quote Link to post

If it was a injured duck on a pond they would soon have there rubber dingy out to get publicity in the local papers :wankerzo4: Quote Link to post

If it was a injuyred duck on a pond they would soon have there rubber dingy out to get publicity nin the local papers :wankerzo4: lol we called them out as our neighbour had a rottie, said he didn't have time to walk it, and didn't like cleaning up the garden, and when his dad feed it he didn't want the dog to come near him as he didn't like rotties so whenever he went put to the garden he took a spade and if the dog come near him he got hit by the spade, when the RSPCA come out they asked them to walk the dog more regularly and clean up the garden, and that they will come back to see if its done, they never did and the RSPCA haven't come back at all and nothings changed, we would do something but he has a habit of shooting our animals if we upset him, and has already shot dead two of our cats and started taking pot shots at our dogs, although our cousin went and talked some sense into him, we can't take the dog out ourselves unless he starts shooting at the dogs again. CHEWI 0
GIVE A DOG A GOOD HOME < STOP THE PASSING ABOUT > i honestly think that alot of people breed to much crap , or is it crap or just how people bring there dogs on, its a shame when people buy or breed a litter of pups and then do nothing with them , ( retrieving , jumping even lead walking ) they just leave them in the kennels and then take them out hunting at 7 mths and expect the dog to be a world beater , and when it dont shine its sold for a better dog ( its just had more time spent with it ) thats not even as well breed as the 1 thats just been sold. ive had many dogs in my time and ive had some good dogs my best bitch was stolen and my best dog was let out and knocked down and died on the way to the vets (broke my heart and my kids). my bitch was 1 of the best lamping bitchs ive ever seen , could do 50 rabbits a night every night of the week (use 2 do it all the time and also kill day time hares) she was in my eyes and people that saw her run a top bitch on the land we ran. my dog was a dog that could do the same as my bitch day time and night but he would take all quarry . what im getting at here is i had these dogs at different times and neva took a pup out of any of them as i didnt feel the need i needed another dog as i had every thing with what i was running at that time . my only trouble when they had gone i couldnt get back to the breeding they came from as the parents to both my dog where dead and could neva find any off spring as who i had got them from as pups had breed for there own use and close people, so its time to move on and concentrate on anoth pup that i will think will make the grade im looking for ( and i think ive found 2 (bitch and a dog) so i will put every bit of effort into them ), i dont agree in breeding not unless im happy with them and proved them selfs worthy , but what i will say is that if im happy with the bitch after 3 seasons i will take a litter , but the pups would be given( not sold ) to close friends so i can get back to the breed if needed. so the conclusion to this is THINK about what your breeding and WHY you need to breed ? if your looking for a pup to run try get 1 from some dogs you have seen run and that your happy with and then spend time with the pup and have patiance ( you only get out what you put in ! ) GIVE A DOG A GOOD HOME < STOP THE PASSING ABOUT > well said mate it is people that buy the pup do nothing with them and then say this dog is shit not the dog mate the people that got as apup Quote Link to post
