Im my opinion a dog should be for life , socialised properly & know its place within the household , i know its different if your taking on an adult dog sometimes they sometimes get passed round because of problems but i think if every pup was schooled correctly & allowed to be a pup & mature at that dogs rate then the passing round of dogs would be significantly less

I am quite shocked at the long list of dogs some people have had & some no doubt given up , i understand people loose dogs due to working but surely not all dogs are lost this way , and i understand the need to replace them

Now, now, no need to get offensive ;)

I said...No it is'nt and no you did'nt to your very similar to what i was saying [but i start them young ]and i got shouted down for it

meaning, it is not similar....the person who posted that brilliant post said,..... they just leave them in the

kennels and then take them out hunting at 7 mths and expect the dog to be a world beater

You were shouted down for saying you work them HARD untill they cannot work anymore at a very young age, and the people who did the shouting all said the dogs should be out and about learning from a very young age.

So now who looks like the right twat :)

come on then #### show me where i said this [i WORK THEM HARD UNTILL THEY CANNOT WORK ANY MORE]

sorry about this thread having to end up like this ,all i can say is ask hippychick why .
