jigsaw 11,863
Guys, could you give me info on this subject please.A mate of mine has bought a Investarm over and under 410 shotgun,it has 28 inch barrells and he would like to get a silencer of some form for it.He thinks you can buy a type of sleeve that cuts down the noise from it.He has brought it along while out ferreting and its handy in places that cant be controled by nets.He has accounted fo many rabbits that ran through the scrub and gorse which would have escaped usually(but not any more ,yere in trouble now me boyos). If you know of this idea would you please explain what we should be looking for and where we might find some, thanks a lot,Jigsaw. Guest whippet
No mate, you're right you can get moderator sleeves for O/U shotguns. You can definately get it for the O/U 20 bore Investarm so I'd imagine that you can for the .410. Only thing is I've only seen pics of them so I couldn't begin to say where you get them from. Dig out a copy of Shooting Sports and give the warrener a ring and ask where he got his. Quote Link to post

Sell the gun and just buy a Hushpower .410, they're as quiet as you'll get, but it's either a single or a semi auto, not an O/U. lovely little guns. Quote Link to post
Guest whippet
There's actually an O/U 12 bore that is factory made with a mod on it, it was tested a couple of months ago in (IIRC) Sporting Shooter. There's also an advert for it in the back of the latest edition of the BASC magazine. I'll dig it out in a min when I've rolled this fag and smoked it. Quote Link to post

Guest whippet
Sorry, about 9 rolleys and a disconnected modem later..... It's called the Pro II, it's a grand + VAT, it's a STE with an adjustable stock. it comes with a case. The link is http://www.claypigeoncompany.co.uk/content...eLaporteGun.asp Not much more to say about it, apart from they claim 75% less noise and 50% less recoil when using subsonic carts.
