Guy12 0
Ive been a member of this site for a wee while, but am not new to dogs and hunting. I really enjoy reading some posts and viewing all the pics of dogs hunting etc. I like to keep myself to myself so dont post much. I suppose am a bit of a free loader getting all the fun without inputting much but hey each to their own right? Hope this doesnt offend anyone but have you ever skipped a few pages into a topic without reading the starting post comment?? Well i have a few times since joining the sight and 8 times out of 10 its like kids in a play ground...people missing other peoples points..people slagging one breed against another or some who just seem to be stirring in general. Its just an observation ive made am not trying to be a smart arse or anything but it spoils topics and leaves a bad negative feel. I cant understand why anyone would or has the energy to argue with someone over the internet??!! I got writing this after reading a resent post about one members thoughts on raising a pup..giving some general pointers about its upbringing. Cant remember the members name to hand but personally i thought it was real good sound advice. Not that my opinion is worth any more than the next mans but i thought his advice was a secure method of not spoiling a pup..and great words for the newbie bringing on or thinking of getting a lurcher pup. Still however the ugly head of confrontation and objection was raised by others. Hunting is to some people a complete way of life which is fine and no one can tell another man how to lead his life but it would pay for some on this site to maybe leave a little room aside for some thinkingbefore replying to topics with negativity and ignorant or arrogant replies. Thanks Guy12
pointer28 1
:clapper: :clapper: :clapper: Give that man a medal !! Unfortunately, the type of people you are talking about are either too stupid and too ignorant to take your advice. Although I do think it has improved a bit since IanB shut down the site for a day. PeakOil 352
A valid point, the bickering is creeping back in. There is a topic on using .243 in Rimfire Centrefire & Shotguns that has turned into a playground slanging match Shame really as it started out as an interesting thread. dawnraider 2
spot on,but as pointer said there will allways be those few who are determined to wreck a decent topic, when i first joined it was alot worse but since the plug was pulled there has been an improvement, even when the slagging starts it does not seem to last as long. Guest MY LAW
it is called a dispute ,and if every one just went out and done what one person advises them im afraid the world of running dogs would stand still .but your observation about kids in a play ground is spot on ,when you decide to reply to a topic that you feel you know enough about to coment on ,just whatch what happens . Guest world.hunters
Spot on mate. there is constuctive critism then there is keyboard hunters just on here to cause shit its a shame that one of the only places where people that are braught together with the love of a sport that already has enough people against them without the need to start bickering with each other. this video is a prime example of wankers on forums http://foamy.libertech.net/for33.swf W.h
PAUL73 0
The nowt wrong with a good debate as long as it dont go over the the top. What puts me of on this site is when people have things for sale and members start jumping on the sale posts having digs they are not intrested in buying anything just like to have a dig if people are not intrested dont post if whats for sale is not right the person will be found out in the end lol

Headshot08 36
I agree completely on on this matter have started to just PM the topic started and tell them my views instead of open the can of worms which seems to happen everytime someone opens their mouth on this site..It needs to stop Steve
droid 11
Trouble is, many people are very propreital over their methods, and take criticism/suggestions for improvement personally. Then they (over)react accordingly. Then it just turns into a slanging match. Discussing the reasons for doing something can be a powerful way of improving it. It isn't good enough to say 'I do it THIS way so you must' if no reasons are given why your method is best.
bullet 125
will the real hunter please stand up........ to most people its their way of live, making a living or just a hobby.... then there the ones that make it like its some kind of COMPETITION no matter how many times you write a thread on this topic mate it will never change
SportingShooter 0
A valid point, the bickering is creeping back in. There is a topic on using .243 in Rimfire Centrefire & Shotguns that has turned into a playground slanging match Shame really as it started out as an interesting thread. I was part of that thread, and hold my hand up that I shouldn't have carried on replying to a Childish tiff But I was provoked by just the reasons you talk of above But I agree with the OP. How often does a thread take the complete wrong path? Almost always, look at the one below this on moving to Surrey SS
