Garypco 3 Posted November 21, 2008 Report Share Posted November 21, 2008 For those of you who dont know milister hes a top guy and professionally trains dogs for a living...he has some of the best working blood in the country.anyone going to him will see why these dogs arnt being given away...to be honest all the prices seem reasonable to me!!! think you guys are just stuck in a hole!!! times move on and a decent dog is worth its weight in gold....ive payed up to £1400 for a decent dog before now!!! mike wont have these dogs long if anyones interested send him a pm.... whin 463 Posted November 25, 2008 Report Share Posted November 25, 2008 if you think your mans atop man does he no the like off billy steel top dog man labs just made a 2 yearold lab dog up to feild trail champion,thye are not heavy prices to me its dogs that are not his standard but still good and well christmas money etc hence there going now ,and as for selling lurchers what do you pay for a good all round dog one that pulls roe hare rabbs odd fox and stays sound all year round and breeds true harder to get a true breeding running dog that produces than a pure bred lab by far, and i have saw lurchers and diffrent types of dogs that can work as well as any lab , used to do scurries and work land thta you needed a good nose and good retreiver , got placed in scurries etc what about runners through a wood in the dark no wistle no niose dog new the game maybe catching and retreiveing 20 or more a nite then knocking a roe or a hare down on the way home , i keep curs if that what your saying but there tasty ,the prices are not to deer by gundog standards as i no what goesinto training them labs are easy tho Link to post Share on other sites
whin 463 Posted November 25, 2008 Report Share Posted November 25, 2008 i wouldnt sell atop game harvesting lurcher in its prime for less than a few grand one that needs no lead walks tite into a wood pulls a roe knecks it good nite, then retreive a half dozen rabbs courses a hare , at nite at the pheasants stands at a tree like a lab waits for it to drop ,holds it , take it out ferreting catches bolters , makes a lab look second class ,but diffrent dogs diffrent dogs Link to post Share on other sites

A good top coursing greyhound cost thousands and just chases hares, But theres one thing in common amongst all us guys on here we love our sport and should respect each mans chosen dog no matter the cost or type. Im without a spaniel at the mo I love to have one in the kennel, especially with a bit of age on her side. like the one in the advert, but I will be honest at 800 its a bit rich for me, but If the money was available shed be mine without hesitation. What Im trying to say is for the good working stuff they all have there worth, I just know at this time of year the wife would do me in if I spent the £800, know what I mean uuhhgg I get you pal... iv got a dog here paid 300 for a 16mth old only 2 weeks ago off a trainer the dog is a f*****g toper and iv bein offered silly money for the dog already where as in 300 is f**k all i got a lethal deal as i bought 2 off him .. just some fine tuning with the 16mth old dog and he will be talking to me he will retrive anything even cold game off land water and the thickest of cover ... no faults there ar some great deals can be got and 800 is not much small bit of work and bang you be geting the same silly offers that iv got.. that lab is 1/3 of the way there Link to post Share on other sites
