skinnyrat 0
in my opinion you should have got it retrieving before letting it catch anything, use a rabbit skin as a dummy,if you have to tie a piece of string to it and jiggle it,the dog should pick it up,then you got to get it to bring it back to you, with a puppy, you can usually just sit on its bed as its natural instinct is to head back there with its prize,or try in a narrow hallway where the dog cant run around with the dummy, failing that ive had sucess in the past by tying a length of washing line to the dogs collar and gently giving a tug,but its always better to try to make the dog want to come to you rather than try to force it,im sure people with more experience than me will share thier advice, hope you get it sorted out pal all the best Skinnyrat Quote Link to post
