Wildfowling book

Recommended Posts

Has anyone read either "Hunitng ducks and Geese" by Steve Smith or "Modern Waterfowling" by John C. Cartier? I am after a decent "how to" widfowling book as opposed to a story book. So any info on these two or any other good books would be appreciated.

Thanks ;)

There is not a really good modern book on how to, but there are some great old ones, "the new wildfowler" and "flighting ducks" are quite informative.

Thanks T1C ;)

Is there any particular reason why modern authors dont write "how to" type books?

It is probably market size, I am convinced that it may well sell though. There is a new DVD coming out soon which you may find informative, it is by the "cornish countryman" and you will see the adverts in various magazines. Seriously thought, the americans and canadians have got this right and their hunting websites are full of great information on wildfowling oin rivers, marshes, sea, the field, estuarues etc etc
