Guest JohnGalway
http://www.justice.ie/en/JELR/Pages/Minist...0Handguns%20Ban I particularly like this point below; • the Minister will keep under annual review, in consultation with the Garda Commissioner, the outcome of the licensing procedure and, if the outcome of that procedure leaves a situation which still poses an unacceptable risk to the community, will use new powers, which the Bill will contain, to ban outright any type of firearm. I'm sure, as I type, all the criminals in Ireland are now returning their illegal handguns to the nearest Garda Station. Oh no, wait.... They're only banning LEGALLY held handguns. How very silly of me Quote Link to post

SportingShooter 0
Apologies if I'm not shocked John. Its precisely the same here, Ban all legal handguns and the rate at which handguns in crime rises is not one, not two but three times as many. Now then, I find that rather odd........................ Bureaucracy, Red Tape, Faceless Civil Servants with a grudge SS Quote Link to post
Mr_Logic 5
So he's covering his arse. I hate politicians, they're all the same, power-crazed wankers with no idea how life should be. America's better right now but for how long? Why can't people see that freedom is being allowed to do what you want to do? Not being told what you can and can't. That's either communism or fascism depending on which end of the state you fall. Quote Link to post
Guest JohnGalway
It's been asked in our Parliment twice, how many crimes have been committed with legally held handguns which have been stolen. Guess what, they can't say, guess what I think? None. Just this past week, these same heroes cancelled a vaccination against cervical cancer for under 12's girls. It's been proven because of this 52 women will die. Who are more of a danger to society then? What kind of f*****g priorities do these fools have? Quote Link to post
Fidgety 8
Disgusting! Ban on handguns here, hunting ban, etc etc. I suppose they want us all to sit at home watching Strictly come dancing/X factor/celebrity drivel. Makes you want to become an MP. Quote Link to post

Guest JohnGalway
I await the next election here with absolute glee. Not in any misguided hope the next government will be any better but I'm sooooo going to vent my spleen towards any government party candidate that arrives on this doorstep. Quote Link to post
scalder 0
hi lads as per usual these f*cking idiots we elected did it again every time something goes wrong they make a balls of it .. as sad as it was that innocent lad getting murdered what has that got to do with legally held firearms it wasnt a legally held firearm that was use. there has never been an incident where a legally held firearm has been used for any illegal activity .. so how the hell do they think that stopping law abiding citizens enjoying their hobby (legally) will have any effect on gun crime , if they got off their fat lazy holes and were'nt afraid to deal with the criminal element of our society i think that would have more effect ...
