dogs-n-natives 1,182 Posted November 18, 2008 Report Share Posted November 18, 2008 Ive caught a load of frogs....also snakes, mice, voles, alsorts of things , and all in properly set traps either in man made tunnels or natural sites. Nowt you can do to stop frogs etc going in, but I would guess you have your traps set very sensitive, which is also how i like to have mine! Try setting them less sensitive, so that they need a heavier animal to stand on the plate to set it off. But, you then need the larger target animal to go through in the first place. The fact that you havent caught any stoats/weasels, is maybe down to the position and appearence of the tunnel, but you would have to expain better, or post some pics for that to be made clear. One thing you have gained from these accidental captures is FREE BAIT!! Quote Link to post
