pup looks fine to me.........as a rule of thumb..carbs for weight, protien for muscle mass

Carbs...bread....pasta...potatoe (starchy food )

Protien ..any meat or fish / eggs.

its not rocket sciecne...if you put in more calaories than the pup can burn off...then it will gain weight.

Make sure it gets all it needs at the moment , so it bones skeletal frame grows properly.......nowt wrong with a fat pup...you can always burn it off.......not so easy it a pup is malnurished..

You will find it will grow up...and grow out...grow up..and grow out...

all the best

I wouldn't give her too much carbs (just what she gets from the dry food) as they will make her gain weight but she gets all the glucose she needs from meat and fat. She'll store the goodness of the meat you give her and her body will use the carbs. Too much carbs will make her gassy and give skin complaints imo.

Give her lots of meat and offal. Raw eggs too. I don't like milk for dogs.

Remember its better to keep a dog slightly underweight. But sinse she's a pup I'd keep her at normal weight. Don't ooverfeed though!

bread and pasta can give a dog the shits(mine anyway). raw chicken carcase and lamb ribs are great for keeping weight on a dog, espiciallly when your working them hard. you've just got to find a cheap place to buy them. i get a tray of about 25 carcase for a fiver.

All food whether carbs, fat, protein if given in greater quantities than is used by the body will increase weight as the spare calories are stored as fat by the body. A little fat on a youngster is not a bad thing but not to much. Muscle will be put on in response to the type of exercise undertaken, the breeding and the age of the animal. So to increase weight increase calories and if those calories come from a varied source then they'll bring varied micro nutrients such as vitamins with them hence a balenced diet.
