Pleanty of places to go for advice; local council, national trust, ramblers assocciation, ordanance survey, etc. If it is a puplic right of way there will still be rules about keeping dogs under control. Keepers, like farmers, will try to bend the rules to protect their livelyhood, and who can blame them when there are so many people letting dogs run wild ! Not you, I hasten to add !

Cheers.

At last, THANKS ME ODE

I excersise my dogs on National Trust land, which is 100% covered in pheasant shoots. The paths and walks are well sign posted and the signs read "Please keep dogs on leads when crossing fields IF there is livestock in field" I interperet this as I don't need to have my dogs on the lead IF there is NO livestock in the field !! Birds don't count as livestock ! My dogs are under control, and I beat on the shoots, so get no hassle from the keepers, but the amount of people allowing their dogs to run wild around pens is amazing !! So I can see both sides of the argument !!

Cheers.
